You do not need to stop working to qualify. Register as a student of the Association of International Accountants, sit the exams at your own pace, and build the practical experience AIA requires with us.

How to prepare for your video interview

It is an in-depth interview that lets us see you from every side, so give yourself time and a quiet place.

  • It is a video interview: you answer questions on camera, and complete situational and written tasks
  • Check that your camera and microphone work before you start
  • Have your CV ready, and references from previous employers
  • Allow one to two hours. You can pause and continue later
  • We look at your professional knowledge, how you think, how you act in a crisis, how you work with colleagues and how you organise yourself

  • Run payroll through PAYE
  • Prepare and file payroll returns to HMRC
  • Calculate and check Income Tax and National Insurance
  • Run workplace pension schemes (auto-enrolment)

The Central Accounting Review Team makes sure that clients' returns meet HMRC's standards and our own brand standards. It is a role for experienced accountants who think like auditors and experts. The team is the guarantee of quality, reputation and trust in the brand.

  • Review tax and financial reporting: VAT, Self Assessment and statutory accounts
  • Review the returns of VIP clients and complex cases
  • Control the quality of work by our accountants and franchisees

The owner of every digital process in our franchise system: CRM, access, the HMRC agent structure, franchisee onboarding and technical standards.

This is not a support role, and not "IT on call". You own the system, and you keep the business ordered, controlled and ready to scale.

What you will do
  • Take full responsibility for the CRM (Perfectum or similar): logic, structure, roles and access
  • Set up and control automations: onboarding, tasks, triggers and deadline control
  • Manage the structure of the HMRC Agent Services Account
  • Control access to HMRC, the CRM and internal systems
  • Run technical onboarding for new franchisees
  • Keep the same technical standards across every franchise unit
  • Work with head office on changes to processes and systems
  • Write and update the instructions and standards for our systems
What we are looking for
  • Experience with CRM systems such as Perfectum, Bitrix or HubSpot
  • Understanding of how an accountancy or consulting firm works

The link between clients, the unit's team and head office. You run the full operational cycle with clients, so deadlines are met and cash keeps flowing.

A franchise unit cannot work without this role: the Client Manager keeps the processes in order and every client moving through them without delays.

What you will do
  • Onboard new clients: collect information and documents, and coordinate the start of work
  • Track deadlines for clients and the team's tasks
  • Issue invoices to clients
  • Check payments and send reminders about overdue amounts
  • Keep in touch with head office and pass on the information it needs
  • Update client statuses in the CRM
  • Make sure every client moves through our processes without getting stuck

Not an operational accountant and not a client manager: a methodologist, an arbiter and a guarantee of quality. Franchisees cannot change the methodology. Every rule, template and approach is approved at this level.

What you will do
  • Build and maintain one accounting methodology for UK and international clients
  • Set and control standards for VAT, PAYE, Self Assessment, CFC and complex international cases
  • Create and update templates, checklists and internal instructions
  • Follow changes in HMRC rules and update the methodology quickly
  • Make the final call on complex, unusual and disputed cases
  • Approve VIP clients and unusual structures before we take them on
  • Advise unit managers and franchisees
  • Check that every franchise follows the methodology
What we are looking for
  • A degree in accounting, finance or tax

Yes. During the traineeship of up to three months you work on real client tasks under a traineeship agreement, and you are paid for that work.
